Who is Maureen?
(you may be wondering)

Hello everyone! If you've spent any time looking through my work, you've probably noticed my passion for capturing videos and transforming them into meaningful stories. I view the world with deep gratitude and appreciation for my memories and loved ones; meaning nothing brings me greater joy than capturing and reliving those emotions. Coincidentally, that exact connection to human experience is what drew me to marketing. For some background, my name is Maureen Jary, a 21-year-old recent graduate of Eastern Michigan University, where I earned my BBA in Marketing. I also studied abroad in South Korea for a semester, which fed my love for other cultures and languages. Growing up, my siblings and I were always drawn to creating; whether we were making artwork, attempting to start a business, or, our favorite, filming videos. I loved how bringing my ideas to life made me feel completely free to be myself and have fun. From directing childhood music video covers and unique short films to spending hours getting lost in editing my travel vlogs from my time abroad, I realized that storytelling has immense potential to evoke all sorts of emotions and, consequently, make an impact.
I aspire to channel this creativity and unique perspective of the human experience into the worlds of marketing, advertising, and video production. My goal is to not only elevate my own videography and marketing knowledge but also to show that I am eager to learn from the ground up and think outside the box. While currently based near Detroit, Michigan, I welcome opportunities to bring my skills to dynamic markets like Ann Arbor, New York City, or internationally.
This platform reflects my journey and evolution as a creative professional. Here, you will find my ever-evolving portfolio, featuring diverse projects ranging from advertisements and study abroad videos, including content I produced for Kapamilya, Eastern Michigan University's Filipino club.
